Paint the roof once in a while. Its supposed to be a tourist destination for photographs. A dull red roof just doesnt cut it. Also, their hotel dinner prices shot up from $ 39 to $ 85. Thats too pricey for anyplace in that region. If I wanted to pay that kind of money I would go to the Charlevoix Casino down the road in La Malbaie. Lower your damn prices otherwise you risk losing return business!
The view outside the hotel of the beach is amazing, but the hotel itself is'nt very accommodating to English speakers. The menu in the hotel restaurant doesn't have English translation of what the food is. I luckily came with my husbands family so they helped me out. The food is decent, but I'm not sure about $40 for the buffet.
We spent one night at this lovely hotel, where we comfortable and well fed. But I mostly want to praise the work of the lady in the health spa who gave me a massage .I had developed a very painful back and she worked hard on it and made a huge improvement , so I could go on and enjoy my holiday . So thank you. Thanks also to the very friendly lady in the bar who saw me struggling and recommended a massage!
This hotel is a centrally located quiet hotel with rooms that have not been redecorated since the 1950s. On the plus side, you can walk anywhere in Tadoussac from this property and the hotel itself is very picturesque and the maid service is good. The rooms are small, the queen bed could have used a new mattress, no support left in them. A third floor river view room was 473$ with taxes for a Wednesday and Thursday in September and the third floor windows are so small you can hardly see the river anyways. This place evidently was the cat's meow years ago but it strikes us as living on its laurels. Overall impression is that ownership figures they have the town biz sewed up so why reinvest and update.
A beautiful property and a fine hotel. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side but a very comfortable bed. . We took a river view room but really never had the time to look at the river. We instead found a wonderful outside deck on 2nd floor and enjoyed the view from there, while sipping on an afternoon cocktail. I will stay here again if I ever return to Tadoussac, but one summertime drawback is no air conditioning which requires the room window to be open. I will take a non river view room the next time, as this side of the hotel appears to be less busy and quieter.
